We have finally written in code for the message areas of FreeWorld. The area setup is currently not in yet so only one hardcoded test message area can be used. The test site has it setup and usable if you want to check it out. The interface is a only a temporary one to allow testing of the message base commands. If you have an opinion about the opperation or appearance of the message areas please let us know in the mailing lists or in the message area on the test site.

Work has started on a gnome client for FreeWorld. We are not very far along yet but we do have a basic interface up and running. You can checkout this screenshot if you want to see what the interface currently looks like. I'll try to keep the screenshot up to date with what is in cvs.

There is now a functional editor in FWBMenu's code. It is located in edit.c and some of the calling functions are in mesg.c. It works pretty well with a few exceptions. One big thing is it doesn't allocated memory as needed yet. This will be added soon. The other main problem the way it handels the word wrapping. It might still be possible to crash fwbmenu in certain situations. Plus the wrapping when inserting text is setup wrong and needs a few fixes.
